Calling all future stars, has-beens and wannabes! Is your child a budding pop star? Can you belt out a mournful Irish tune that moves a crowd to tears? Do you have what it takes to be an Irish music star?
Sham-ROCK Stars, the popular singing contest will be held again during Irish Fest.
Amateur contestants perform a traditional or modern Irish song for a group of judges, comprised of musicians and Fest volunteers.
Both children and adults, can compete for prizes and the age categories are:
The contest consists of three divisions:
SHAMROCKS-Teens between 13 and 18 years old
CLOVERS-Children under the age of 12
LEPRECHAUNS-19 or older

Preliminary auditions for the children’s division begins at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 10 and will be judged by a panel of judges. On Sunday, July 11, a sing-off between four talented singers from each division will perform at 2pm.
Further judging will be based on scores form a panel of judges and audience response. Winners will be announced during a special Grand Finale on the Main Stage at 4pm. Grand prize packages include a Sham-ROCK Stars VIP Package featuring star treatment for the winners.
REGISTRATION:
-Participants must be 18 years old or younger. Advance registration is REQUIRED.

-Forms must be turned in no later than Saturday, July 10 at noon.
-Parents’ permission is required.
REQUIREMENTS
All contestants are required to:

- Finalists for the children’s competition must be available to perform on Sunday, July 11 for the sing-off at 2 pm as well as Grand Finale at 4 pm.
- The contest is open to amateur contestants only
The Leprechaun Adult competition is Saturday, July 10 at 8pm. Contestants will be scheduled on a first-come, first-serve basis. Contestants will be graded by a panel of judges and audience reaction. The same rules apply as with the children’s contest: contestants are limited to solo vocalists only and performers must sing at minimum one verse and chorus of an Irish song.
