Hooley Hook-Up

 The fest kicks off with the fifth annual Hooley Hook-Up on  Friday, July 9 from 6pm-8pm.

What is a Hooley? A hooley is an old-fashioned Irish term for a dance and party.

The Hook-Up: Every summer in Ireland for the past 150 years, swarms of singles try and meet that someone special at the Lisdoonvarna Matchmaking Festival in County Clare, Ireland.

Irish Fest has taken the two traditions and have added a bit of a twist.

The Hooley Hook-Up  is a party within the party where more than 150 singles mingle in search of the perfect match creating a dancing, mingling and matchmaking festival like no other. The infamous Maureen O’Looney, a true Irish matchmaker will be on hand to help make that perfect match.

Participants will be treated to live Irish music featuring The Boils as well as games, raffles and door prizes.  Singles are encouraged to get out to Irish Fest early and possibly meet your special match.

Admission to Irish Fest gains admission to the Hooley Hook-Up.
