Directions
The Irish American Heritage Center is located at 4626 N. Knox Ave. on Chicago’s Northwest Side. The Center is just east of the Edens Expressway, Wilson Ave exit. (see map location below).
There is parking at the Center and Free Parking and Shuttle Buses from a remote lot. Follow the signs to the appropriate lots upon arrival.
From the South or West
Take I-90/94 West (Kennedy Expressway) to Wilson Ave. Turn right on Wilson Ave. and you have arrived
From the North
Take I-94 (Edens Expressway) south to Wilson Ave. Turn left (east) and travel one block to the Center.
From the Northwest
Take I-90 (Kennedy Expressway) east to Lawrence Ave. Turn Left on Lawrence (east) and travel about 1 mile to Kilpatrick Ave. Kilpatrick is just east of Cicero Ave. Turn right on Kilpatrick (south) and travel one block to Center.
Public Transportation
Take the CTA Blue Line to the Montrose stop. Exit the Montrose station and turn east. Follow the frontage sidewalk along the expressway (northbound) to Knox Ave. Turn right and travel one block to the Center.
Take the Lawrence Ave CTA Bus to Kilpatrick Ave. Walk one block south to the Center.
